Efficiency
The FoodCertificate.org website replaces the current burdensome and costly manual system of obtaining and supplying food industry documents. Often, an upcoming audit prompts the request for the certifications, resulting in an immediate need for the documents. The requestor must rely upon the response time of the manufacturer to provide the needed documents, but there are sometimes delays of several weeks while the information is located and faxed to them. With increasing numbers of documents and tighter time constraints being required in the food industry by both private sector and government agencies, additional costly employees and large amounts of time would be needed to fulfill these mounting requests. the solution lies with the easy, rapid and affordable FoodCertificates.org website.
New Regulations
By greatly simplifying the storage and dissemination of food industry documents, FoodCertificates.org will help to bring the food industry closer to complying with new federal regulations such as those set forth in Title III, Section 306 of The Public Health and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act of 2002 (PL 107-188), more commonly known in the industry as The Bioterrorism Act. According to this ruling, new requirements governing the access and retention of food industry documents must be adhered to by all businesses covered by the rule, and those who do not comply may be subject to civil and/or criminal charges (source: www.fda.gov).
